Excellent service from Ben at Seastack Mechanical. Ben demonstrated exceptional professionalism, honesty, and work ethic throughout the entire job. His response time was very quick, and he was a pleasure to work with. Although I had mistakenly omitted some of my requirements in the original work order, Ben did not hesitate to return to my home a second time to ensure everything was completed exactly as I wanted. What impressed me most was that he never asked for any additional payment, even though the extra visit was clearly beyond the original scope of work. His positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. He made sure every aspect of the job was completed to a high professional standard. I am extremely satisfied with his service and would not hesitate to call him again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

The Parts Of A Luxury Bathroom That Are Permanent
A tap can be changed in an afternoon. A valve body cannot. Nor can a carrier, a drain location, a steam generator cavity, or the route a concealed cartridge has to be reached through. Those are set at rough-in and they outlast two or three cosmetic refits.
So the questions worth answering before the wall closes are not about finish. They are about depth, height, access, and whether the house can actually supply the water the fixture package expects.
- Valve body depth set against the real finished wall build-up, tile and membrane included
- Wall-hung carrier height and squareness fixed to blocking, not to drywall
- Freestanding tub filler supplies located from the tub’s own template
- Linear and point drains set to the tile falls, co-ordinated with the tiler
- Blocking for grab bars and benches placed while the wall is open
- Access planned for every cartridge, transformer, generator and shut-off
What We Install
Freestanding Tubs & Fillers
Floor-mounted and wall-mounted fillers, concealed valves, and the supply and waste set out to the tub rather than to a guess. Soaking tubs need a hot water supply that can actually fill them.
Multi-Outlet Shower Systems
Thermostatic valves, rain heads, hand showers, body sprays and diverters — sized so that two outlets running together still behave.
Wall-Hung Toilets & Concealed Cisterns
In-wall carrier systems with the cistern hidden and the flush plate as the access panel. The floor stays clear, which in a powder room is the whole point. See Rapid SL carriers.
Wall-Mounted Basin Sets
Concealed basin mixers over vessel and undermount basins, with the rough-in height worked back from the counter and the basin, not from a standard.
Smart Toilets & Bidet Seats
Tempered supply and GFCI power placed behind the fixture at rough-in. Straightforward now, awkward and visible later.
Thermostatic, Not Just Pressure Balance
Pressure balance reacts. Something else in the house draws cold, and the valve cuts the hot to match so nobody gets scalded — but the temperature moves. A thermostatic valve holds the setting instead. You set it, and it stays there while the dishwasher fills.
In a bathroom with small children, an elderly parent, or anyone who cannot step out of the way quickly, that is a safety decision rather than a comfort one. It is also the most common upgrade we are asked for by people who have lived with the alternative.
Working With Your Designer Or Builder
We would rather read the drawings than inherit them.
- Fixture schedule reviewed against supply, drainage and venting before ordering
- Clashes raised in writing with an option attached
- Permits and inspections carried as part of the work
- Owner-supplied fixtures installed; we will also supply and quote
- Part numbers ordered through our trade distributor accounts
Questions We Are Asked
What is the difference between a thermostatic and a pressure-balance shower valve?
A pressure-balance valve keeps the mix steady when someone flushes a toilet. A thermostatic valve holds an exact set temperature and lets you control flow separately, which is what multi-outlet luxury showers need. Thermostatic valves also have strict depth requirements at rough-in.
Can a freestanding tub go anywhere in the room?
Only where the drain and the floor-mounted or wall-mounted filler can be roughed in. The drain position, the floor structure and the filler location are fixed before the floor is finished, so the tub position is a rough-in decision.
How long does the plumbing rough-in take on a luxury bathroom?
Typically two to four days for the rough-in, depending on the number of fixtures and whether a steam generator, recirculation loop or new water heater is part of the job. Trim-out after tile is usually one to two days.
Do you work with my interior designer or builder?
Yes. We prefer it. We review the fixture schedule, confirm rough-in dimensions against the specification sheets and photograph every wall before it closes so the builder and designer have a record.
Planning A Bathroom?
Send the drawings and the fixture list. We will tell you what the rough-in has to look like before anything is ordered.
