Excellent service from Ben at Seastack Mechanical. Ben demonstrated exceptional professionalism, honesty, and work ethic throughout the entire job. His response time was very quick, and he was a pleasure to work with. Although I had mistakenly omitted some of my requirements in the original work order, Ben did not hesitate to return to my home a second time to ensure everything was completed exactly as I wanted. What impressed me most was that he never asked for any additional payment, even though the extra visit was clearly beyond the original scope of work. His positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. He made sure every aspect of the job was completed to a high professional standard. I am extremely satisfied with his service and would not hesitate to call him again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

Three Things A Smart Toilet Needs That An Ordinary One Does Not
Most of the trouble we are called out to fix on smart toilets is not the toilet. It is that nobody planned for what it needs, so the solution ends up being a visible cord, a surface-run supply, or a unit that cannot be serviced without taking it off the wall.
- Power. A GFCI outlet behind or beside the fixture, positioned so the cord is hidden and the receptacle is still reachable. On a wall-hung unit it goes inside the carrier wall at rough-in.
- Supply. Warm-water models want a tempered supply rather than cold only, which means a mixing arrangement and somewhere to put it.
- Rough-in. Skirted and wall-hung bodies hide the trap and the connections, so the waste and supply have to land inside a tolerance of a few millimetres rather than roughly behind the pan.
All three are simple while the wall is open and awkward afterwards. If a bidet seat is anywhere in your plans — now or in ten years — have the outlet put in while you have the chance.
What We Install
Integrated Smart Toilets
One-piece units with washing, drying, heated seat, auto flush and remote or app control. Supplied by you or by us, installed and commissioned.
Wall-Hung Smart Toilets
Carrier set square and plumb to blocking, cistern concealed, flush plate serving as the access panel. See Rapid SL carrier systems.
Bidet Seats & Washlets
Retrofit seats onto an existing toilet, with the supply tee, isolation and the power the unit needs. The cheapest route into the category by a wide margin.
Rough-In For A Future Bidet
Outlet and tempered supply placed during a renovation so the fixture can be added later with no demolition. Costs very little now.
Powder Room Conversions
A wall-hung smart toilet clears the floor and buys back a few inches in a small powder room — the room where it reads as the most deliberate choice in the house.
Service & Replacement
Existing smart toilets serviced whoever installed them, and like-for-like replacement when a unit reaches the end of its life.
Accessibility, Quietly
A washing toilet is usually bought as a comfort item. It also happens to be one of the few upgrades that lets somebody stay independent in their own bathroom for longer, without the room looking like it was adapted for anyone. A heated seat, a wash cycle and a dryer replace a set of movements that get harder with age or after surgery.
If that is the real reason for the purchase, say so — it changes the model, the height, and whether blocking should go in for a grab bar at the same time.
Before You Buy
- Measure the existing rough-in distance from the finished wall to the flange
- Check whether the model wants cold only or a tempered supply
- Decide where the outlet goes before the tile layout is final
- Confirm the unit fits the room with the lid open, not just closed
- Ask what the serviceable parts are and how they are reached
Send us the model number and we will tell you what it needs.

Questions We Are Asked
What does a smart toilet or bidet seat need that a normal toilet does not?
An electrical outlet within reach of the unit, usually a GFCI-protected receptacle behind or beside the toilet, a water supply positioned for the unit’s inlet, and for wall-hung models an in-wall carrier set at the right height. The outlet and supply location depend on the exact model.
Can a bidet seat be added to my existing toilet?
In most cases yes, provided there is an outlet nearby and the toilet shape suits the seat. If there is no outlet, an electrician adds one; we handle the water connection and any supply changes.
Do wall-hung toilets need special framing?
Yes. They mount to a steel carrier inside the wall that is bolted to the floor and studs. The carrier sets the finished height and must be installed before drywall, with the floor build-up known.
Do you supply the toilet or do I?
Either. Many clients and designers choose the model themselves. We review the specification sheet before rough-in so the carrier, supply and outlet match it.
