Excellent service from Ben at Seastack Mechanical. Ben demonstrated exceptional professionalism, honesty, and work ethic throughout the entire job. His response time was very quick, and he was a pleasure to work with. Although I had mistakenly omitted some of my requirements in the original work order, Ben did not hesitate to return to my home a second time to ensure everything was completed exactly as I wanted. What impressed me most was that he never asked for any additional payment, even though the extra visit was clearly beyond the original scope of work. His positive attitude, integrity, and commitment to customer satisfaction truly stood out. He made sure every aspect of the job was completed to a high professional standard. I am extremely satisfied with his service and would not hesitate to call him again for any future plumbing needs. Highly recommended!

The Cabinet Under The Sink Is The Real Constraint

A high-end kitchen asks one undersink cabinet to hold a filter, a chiller, a CO2 cylinder, an instant-hot tank, a disposer, a touchless transformer and the shut-offs for all of it — and still be a cabinet somebody can reach into. That has to be laid out before the cabinetry is built, not discovered on install day.

  • Undersink equipment laid out against the actual cabinet, with service clearance
  • Dedicated outlet locations agreed with the electrician at rough-in
  • Shut-offs placed where a person can reach them in a hurry
  • Appliance supplies for fridge, dishwasher, steam oven and coffee set out early
  • Waste and vent arranged for double and triple bowls and island sinks
  • Consumables — filters, cylinders — left accessible without emptying the cupboard
Scope

What We Install

01

Pot Fillers

A genuine convenience if you cook with large pots, and a permanent water line over a range if you do not. Either way it is a wall decision, taken before the backsplash goes on.

02

Filtration & Sparkling Water

Under-counter filtration, and chilled and sparkling systems such as GROHE Blue, which need cabinet space, power, and a cylinder somebody can change.

03

Instant Hot & Chilled Taps

Tank, outlet and dedicated supply, with the tank mounted where it can be isolated and replaced.

04

Touchless Taps

Worth it in a working kitchen — raw chicken on your hands and a tap you never touch. Needs power under the sink, which is a rough-in decision.

05

Island & Prep Sinks

Island drainage and venting is the part most often left to the end. We would rather solve it on the drawing than under a finished island.

06

Appliance Connections

Fridge and ice-maker lines, dishwashers, steam ovens, plumbed coffee machines and disposers — each with its own isolation.

Leak Protection Is Worth More Than Another Tap

A supply line that fails while the house is empty is one of the most expensive things that can happen to a finished kitchen. A monitored shut-off on the main line watches pressure and flow, tells the difference between a tap running and a line failing, and closes the water by itself.

If there is a finished basement under the kitchen, or the house sits empty for stretches, this is the most useful thing on this page. See leak detection and automatic shut-off.

How We Work

  • Fixture and appliance schedule reviewed before the cabinetry is ordered
  • Undersink layout agreed with the cabinetmaker and the electrician
  • Permits and inspections carried as part of the work
  • Owner-supplied fixtures installed; we will also supply and quote
  • Part numbers ordered through our trade distributor accounts

Questions We Are Asked

What does a luxury kitchen need from the plumbing that a standard one does not?

Usually a pot filler on its own supply, a filtered or instant-hot tap with its tank and filter under the sink, a prep sink with its own drain and supply, and leak protection under cabinets that cost more than the plumbing. Each needs a planned location before the cabinets are built.

Can a pot filler be added to an existing kitchen?

Often, if there is a wall cavity behind the range to carry a supply line and a shut-off. On an exterior wall or a wall with a window it needs more planning. We confirm the route before anything is ordered.

What is leak protection and is it worth it?

A sensor and automatic shut-off valve that closes the water supply when it detects a leak under the sink or dishwasher. In a kitchen with custom cabinetry it is cheap insurance against the one failure that ruins the whole room.

Do you install the fixtures my designer specified?

Yes. Send us the specification sheets and we rough in to the exact models, including the undersink clearances for filters, tanks and disposers.

Planning A Kitchen?

Send the cabinet drawings and the appliance list. We will tell you what fits under that sink before anybody builds it.
