What it is
Rainshower covers overhead rain heads, hand showers, slide bars and complete shower systems that combine them. Rainshower Cosmopolitan and the F-Series are the common Canadian lines, alongside Euphoria and Tempesta.
What it does for your home
A large overhead head changes how a shower feels, and a hand shower on a slide bar changes how usable it is — for rinsing, for cleaning the enclosure, for washing a child or a dog without getting in yourself. Most households end up using the hand shower more than they expected.

What it needs to be installed properly
Flow rate and pressure matter here more than anywhere else in the bathroom. A large rain head on a house with marginal pressure is a disappointment, and no amount of fitting fixes it afterwards. If you want an overhead head and body sprays running together, the supply has to carry it — worth measuring before you buy rather than after.
Who it suits — and who it does not
Best decided during a renovation, when the valve and the supply can be sized for what you actually want. If your pressure is low and cannot economically be improved, a well-chosen single head will be more satisfying than an overhead system that dribbles.
