For this project in Langley, the homeowner wanted ultimate peace of mind after a neighbor suffered a devastating burst pipe while on vacation. We installed a Flo by Moen Smart Water Monitor and Shut-off, integrating cutting-edge leak detection directly into the home’s main water line. This system monitors pressure and flow rate in real-time to catch “micro-leaks” before they become disasters.

The Solution:

A smart valve is only as good as the installation surrounding it. We provided a clean, professional-grade mechanical setup:

• Precision Copper Work: We utilized high-quality copper piping with hydraulic press fittings for a clean, solder-free installation that ensures long-term durability.

• Integrated Bypass & PRV: We verified the Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) and water meter were in peak condition, ensuring the smart valve receives accurate data without turbulence.

• Automatic Shut-off Calibration: After installation, we calibrated the system to the home’s specific water footprint. If the system detects an unusual spike in flow—like a burst washing machine hose—it automatically kills the water and alerts the homeowner’s smartphone.

• App Integration Support: We assisted the client in syncing the device to their Wi-Fi, ensuring they can shut off their water from anywhere in the world.
