The Project Overview:
We were selected as the primary plumbing contractor for a 4,500-square-foot custom home build in Fort Langley. This project required a complete mechanical package, starting from the underground sanitary and storm lines up to the final high-end fixture installation. In new construction, the “rough-in” is the most critical phase—if it isn’t perfect, every trade that follows (drywall, tile, cabinets) will struggle.
The Solution:
Working from the architect’s blueprints, we executed a clean, organized, and highly efficient plumbing layout:
Slab-on-Grade Undergrounds: We installed all main waste and vent lines before the concrete pour, ensuring 1/4″ per foot slope for perfect drainage flow and precise positioning for future walls.
Top-Out Phase: We utilized high-grade PEX-a water distribution systems and PVC DWV (Drain, Waste, Vent) piping. Every pipe was secured with professional-grade hangers to prevent “water hammer” and noisy pipes in the future.
Complex Venting: With a multi-story layout, we engineered a venting system that maximizes airflow and ensures that every fixture—from the basement laundry to the master ensuite—drains quickly and quietly.
Gas Piping: We handled the installation of gas lines for the high-efficiency furnace, tankless water heater, kitchen range, and a backyard BBQ box.
The Result:
The project passed both the rough-in and gas inspections on the first attempt, keeping the builder’s schedule exactly on track. The home now features a robust mechanical backbone that is built to last for generations.
